The Event Band are absolutely amazing. We had them for our wedding in December and they had everyone up dancing from the very first song. People were so impressed with the professional set up - lights, podiums etc. We would highly recommend the Event Band!

The Event Band played for our wedding on September 16th 2022. Entertainment was a big priority for us for our wedding day as we wanted our guests to have as much fun as possible and booking The Event Band was 100% the right choice! The lighting and set up really elevated the talented singers and musicians and when they started to play everyone stood on the dance floor dancing, facing the band like a concert as they were just in such amazement! Hands down the best wedding band! I used to photograph weddings so trust me when I say I have seen A LOT of wedding bands. I wanted a band that wouldn't play all of the typical songs played at all weddings - I wanted it to be unique and to bring the party. The Event Band is that and so much more!!! WOW I can’t thank Shane and the band enough for what the created. From the moment I started to communicate with Shane I knew it was something special. The attention to detail blew me away. As our guests arrived for dinner Keith and Aoife started the party off. We struggled to get everyone to sit cause all they wanted to do was dance. Then Jenny started to sing which brought our wedding party in WOW I had goosebumps. As dinner was served the team interacted and really set the standards for the rest of the evenings. After dinner the full 10 piece started and AMAZING. All anyone has spoke about is the band. The Event band are the best band and nothing like I have ever seen before. I’d get married again just to have them again.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q. How long does the wedding band hire play for?

    A. The band plays for two hours, followed by the wedding DJ who will play until 2am.

    Q.Can we pick the songs we want to hear?

    A. We recommend that you go through our sample set list online about four weeks before your date. You can pick out your “must plays” or any “don’t plays” and send them on to us. We will then build your set list around these preferences.

    Q. How late does the wedding music play?

    A. The cut off time for the band is half-past midnight. For the DJ, the cut off time is 2 am.

    Q. Does the live wedding band take a break?

    A. If your night is running on time, the band will take a break when the evening food is served. However, the break is optional and are happy to play straight through.

    Q. Is there a cost for travel?

    A. Yes, travel costs may apply depending on the location of your venue within Ireland. You can send us an email to let us know where your venue is and we can tell you if an additional travel cost will apply or not.

    Q. Will the band learn our first dance?

    A. Yes, we will absolutely learn your first dance. You can choose any song you like and the performer will learn it for you and perform it on the night…unless it’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

    Q. What if a member of the band is sick?

    A. If someone in the band is sick on the night of your wedding and unable to perform we have suitable replacements for every member of the band. These musicians and singers are people that we trust and have worked within the industry so we can assure you that everything will still go off without a hitch.

    Q. Do the band provide sound and lighting?

    A. Yes! The band and DJ will come with all their own lighting and sound equipment needed for the performance.

    Q. Do you offer wedding ceremony and reception music?

    A. Yes, we have lots of different options for ceremony and wedding drinks reception music. We’re happy to work with you on incorporating music and entertainment into any part of your day. You can contact us and let us know what you’re looking for and we can put together an entertainment package that works for you.

    Q. How do we pay the deposit?

    A. The deposit is paid through mysplink.com. We will send you a deposit request email and it can be paid online safely and securely through the site. You’ll also receive an instant receipt.

    Q. Is the deposit refundable?

    A. The deposit is not refundable but if you need to reschedule your date for any reason at all your deposit will still stand for you to book a different date.

They are a really cool, modern wedding band but still play a bit of everything to suit every guest of every age. Both the lead singers have amazing voices and the musicians are amazing.
